The Suriano Law Firm LLC is dedicated to serving the legal needs of the Central Ohio Community and surrounding areas. Our mission is to use our time, talents, and efforts to raise up others through advocacy, empowerment, encouragement, and action. We strive to live every day with a sense of responsibility to the greater good, through faith.
We aim to educate our clients on state and local laws specific to their legal issues, while setting realistic expectations of the local court system and those processes. The legal system can be intimidating and frustrating. The Suriano Law Firm LLC attempts to offer a road map through this journey.
Susan M. Suriano, Attorney
Susan has practiced law in Central Ohio and the surrounding areas since 2009. Currently, her practice areas include divorce, dissolution, custody, visitation and post-decree issues; legal custody and grandparent visitation issues; child and spousal support matters; and the allocation of parental rights and responsibilities (paternity issues) throughout the Central Ohio area. She also offers civil and criminal appellate services, as she has extensive experience in the Court of Appeals.
Over the past five years, Susan exclusively practiced family law. Previously, she was the Law-Related Education Administrator for the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education, assisting in the organization and execution of law and civic programs. Prior to that, Susan was a Staff Attorney in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. Tasked with the responsibility of managing the civil docket, Susan researched, drafted opinions, and conducted pre-trial and status conferences.
Susan was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office. First, serving as an Assistant Juvenile Prosecutor, handling delinquency cases and child neglect, dependency, and abuse cases. She also prosecuted juvenile traffic offenders. Later, she served as an Assistant Appellate Prosecutor, preparing briefs and oral arguments for the Tenth District Court of Appeals and for the Supreme Court of Ohio. In addition, Susan responded on behalf of the State of Ohio to post-conviction petitions and expungement applications in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas and occasionally the Franklin County Municipal Court.
Prior to her career in law, Susan worked for the University of Cincinnati as a Football Administrator under Coach Mark Dantonio. She organized recruiting visits, campus visits, recruiting databases and mailings, and managed day-to-day recruiting and football needs.
As an undergraduate and graduate student, Susan proudly served as a football intern at The Ohio State University Athletic Department under Coach Jim Tressel, earning a 2002 Football National Championship Ring, and was later the graduate assistant for the Department of Recreational Sports, Sports Club Division.

Kylie Gardner, Certified Paralegal
Kylie Gardner of KLG Paralegal Services assists The Suriano Law Firm LLC with her certified paralegal services. Kylie attended The University of Toledo, where she earned her Paralegal Degree. In addition, she furthered her education by becoming a Certified Paralegal (CLA). While attending The University of Toledo, Kylie interned with the Bowling Green Prosecutor’s office and prior to graduation obtained a position at a general practice law firm in downtown Toledo.
She relocated to Columbus, where she was employed by a mid-sized downtown litigation law firm for over seventeen years. While working there, Kylie handled everything from simple calendaring tasks to that of assisting in complex litigation matters.
In 2016, Kylie started KLG Paralegal Services, LLC. KLG provides professional paralegal services on an as needed or ongoing basis from the sole practitioner to the larger law firm.
In her free time, Kylie enjoys spending time with her family, photography and being outdoors.
Kylie is also a member of the Columbus Bar Association (CBA), Paralegal Association of Central Ohio (PACO) and The Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce.
